ProPak China 2013

Shanghai, March 2013 – from 17-19 July 2013, the 19th edition of ProPak and the 6th edition of China BevTek, the nation’s leading processing and packaging technology exhibitions, return to Shanghai at SNIEC, Pudong and will be bigger than ever before. The show organiser, China International Exhibitions (CIE) reported that the 2013 exhibition will occupy 43,000 square metres. Representing a 16% increase in area over the 2012 event and the largest show in the exhibitions 18 year history. The exhibitions offer Chinese and international buyers seeking processing and packaging technology for liquids and solids, the largest display of equipment ever witnessed before in China.The growth in ProPak and China BevTek exhibitions reflects the rapid development of Chinese manufacturing and in particularly for FMCG goods all requiring more professional packaging. Demand for packaging machinery is forecast to increase 7.5 percent annually to 40 billion yuan (US$6.5 billion) by 2016. Filling and form/fill/seal equipment will remain the largest segment, while demand for labeling and coding equipment continues to grow rapidly. Medical, pharmaceutical and personal care market are new « stars » of the market. While food and drinks packaging remains the biggest industry category needing processing and packaging technology.

Visitors to the exhibition will come from all industry from industrial to consumer manufacturing. In particularly processing and packaging for food; snacks; confectionery; cosmetic; pharmaceutical; electronics, FMCG goods and industrial product manufacturing. At the specialist China BevTek section of the exhibition, visitors from all liquid product manufacturers from dairy to soft drinks, fruit juices to beers and more will find the latest equipment and packaging ideas that will save them time and money in the production of their products and final deliver to customers.Visitors that will benefit most from attending ProPak and China BevTek include general management; engineers; factory and plant managers; machine operators; product design; purchasing departments amongst others. A total of 17,533 buyers attended the 2012 exhibition and CIE expect this number will increase again at the 2013 exhibition.
